My New Real Techniques Brushes and ELF Brush review!
Hello ma'lovelys, today I am going to start by sharing my new real techniques brushes with you.
I have already got the stippling brush, the core collection set and the starter set and absolutely love them. I use the brushes every day to apply my makeup and I am so pleased with the results. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on some others.
The brushes I was lusting for were the powder brush, the blush brush and the expert face brush.
Through one of the blogger chats I found this great website that sold the brushes at a cheaper price.
My Pretty Face Place is based in the United States but ship internationally.
Samantha who owns the business is so lovely and helpful, any questions you may have she'll answer and cater to.
Whilst browsing her website I noticed she stocked ELF products.

So onto the ELF brush. I had heard loads of great reviews about ELF products but I have never purchased any of them. I decided to try out the Studio Powder brush, it is a flat top brush and wanted to see the difference between it and the more common big fluffy rounded brushes.
My order came to £18.13 including delivery instead of £42.62 including delivery from boots and Elf themselves. Although I did get discount from Cosmetic Crave's blog, it still would be cheaper than buying the brushes directly from the other websites.
Cosmetic Crave is a lovely beauty blog, you should definitely check it out :)
I was exceptionally pleased with my order. It came within the two weeks time scale that was stated, and even though that may seem a long time for most orders, just bare in mind that it was coming from America.
Now on to the brush reviews!
ELF Studio Powder Brush - The reviews were right, this brush is amazing for setting powder. I use this with my MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder and it works wonderfully. I just press the powder over my face where I need it and then im good to go. I use a pressing motion, sort of like stippling rather than sweeping or buffing as it locks my foundation in better instead of smudging half of it off.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - Oh My Gosh, i love this little brush! Originally I used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush from the core collection set to apply my foundation but switching to this was one of the best thing I ever did. This applies my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation so smoothly and flawlessly. I use this brush in circular motions and buff the foundation into my skin. I am really pleased with this brush and will definitely buy some more for my makeup kit.
Real Techniques Powder Brush - This is a lovely big soft fluffy brush. I find this great for dusting off loose eyeshadow and just generally giving my face a final quick sweep all over. I also use this to dust on powder to touch up throughout the day if needed. An all round fab brush!
Overall I'm really impressed with these brushes, so glad I ordered them.
Feel free to leave me a comment below, let me know what you think about these brushes :)

Real Techniques Blush Brush - For me this brush is a multitask brush. I use it for three things: powder, bronzer and blusher. If you want a light dusting of powder its great for that, and you can use this brush to sweep some bronzer over your face. Now for the main purpose, blusher. I love this brush, it picks up a light amount of colour but is easily buildable. It is so soft and I love how it is tapered at the end.

DeleteAbsolutely! Everyone I've talked to about the expert face brush is in absolute love with it!
DeleteI've just ordered the Real Techniques powder brush. I deliberated for ages whether to actually get the powder brush or whether to get the blusher brush to use as a powder brush.
