I'm a lucky girl!

Hello ma'lovelys, today's post is to share with you some news.

I'm a lucky girl..
The past month I have won two giveaways!

The first giveaway I won was from Sasha and the lovely blog of Ramblings Of A Beauty Bird

Sasha teamed up with Ambiance Cosmetics UK and held a giveaway to win a Ambiance Volumizing Dry Shampoo in Black. This product is 100% a natural dry shampoo.

The second giveaway was held on twitter by Bioderma UK!

They were trying to get to 1K followers and stated that if you helped them reach their target by retweeting, three lucky winners would win a personalized skin care regime. Just so happened that I was one of those three lucky winners.

Bioderma UK asked me questions about my skin and the current products I use for my regime.

A few days later I received this package..

The products I received were:

Bioderma Sebium Gel Moussant - Purifying cleansing foaming gel

Bioderma Sensibo H2O - Micelle Solution

Bioderma Hydrabio Serum - Moisturising Concentrate

Bioderma Sebium Global - Intensive Purifying Care

I am so happy, and feel so lucky for winning two giveaways. Thank you to both Sasha & Ambiance and also Bioderma for the giveaways.

Full product reviews to come soon.

Viviscal Hair Filler Fibers Review!

Hello ma'lovelys today I will be sharing with you my review of the Viviscal Hair Filler Fibers.

This review is long overdue. I was sent this product back in April, however  I had to wait to try this product until my hair was at a suitable state. My hair has been through some traumatic times this past year, and I needed to wait until it was healthy and back to the right colour to match the hair fibers.

As I mentioned above I was sent this product to test by the company. This is my first review of a product that I have been sent by a company, and as stated in my 'Disclaimer & PR' section, I will 100% give my honest opinion.

On to the review..

Viviscal Hair Filler fibers, are coloured fibers that you sprinkle onto your hair to make your hair seem less thin and volumized. Just to be clear, my hair is no way thinning in any way shape or form. However my hair does lack volume and I think it could do with a bit of extra 'OMPF!'

What the company says:

"Viviscal Hair Filler Fibers contain microscopic, electrostatic charged fibers which bond to the hair to build density and create a voluminous, natural appearance in around 30 seconds. Viviscal Hair Filler Fibers are easy to apply, just tap them on. They instantly volumize the appearance of your hair. They last in wind and rain, but wash out easily with shampoo. They are suitable for men and women and all hair types. Available in natural looking hair colors to suit everyone. You can mix more than one color to tailor the fibers to your own hair color."

Directions: Simply tap the fibers liberally onto your dry hair until your scalp is no longer visible and your hair looks thicker. Gently stroke the area to scatter the fibers evenly and wash your hands after. Since each fiber has an electrostatic coating, they instantly bind to the hair shaft building the appearance of hair density, providing greater coverage and a thicker, fuller-looking head of hair in just 30 seconds. For longer lasting results, lightly spray with hair spray.

My opinions:
The fibers come in a plastic pot with a screw lid and it is easy to tap the fibers out from the tiny holes.

I found it quite tricky to apply the fibers. You have to fiddle around with your hair to blend them into the strands, so you do need some time to apply them. However when they are blended in they really do make your hair appear less thin and more volumized. It's just practice really, when you find the right technique the product will become easier and quicker to apply. I was really pleased with the results. I saw a big difference near enough straight away. I got comments from friends and family saying my hair looked really healthy and full.

My only negatives are, that the fibers do stain and the application is a bit messy, so make sure your in a suitable area when applying.

Overall i'm really happy with this product and will use it on nights out and special occasions to give my hair more body and texture.

Thank You to the company for sending me the product to review. You can buy the product from RiteAid.com for $24.99/£16.04

Guest Post - A beauty hamper your skin will love!

Hello lovely's today I have a guest post from the 'Your Hamper' company.

Yourhamper.com is a company that lets you create different types of hampers. You can pick and choose items from a variety of products to design your personalized gift/treat.

Today they are going to talk about creating a hamper for all you beauty junkies or just for a special gift.

A beauty hamper your skin will love!

One thing we love about Charlotte’s blog, perhaps even more than her lovely picture posts, is the

way in which she gets us excited about the bigger picture. You’ll rarely find a review for just a lipstick

or just a foundation without seeing how the products will all fit together in a complete look. As we

create gift hampers for people to send to people they care about, this is something that’s always on

our mind.

You see, when most people decide to send a hamper, a wide range of products are thrown in;

although the recipient will of course be glad to receive such a thoughtful gift, there will always be

those few items that are put to one side. With that in mind, we thought we’d share an example of

how to create a gift hamper around a specific theme for someone you might care about – or for

you to drop a hint to someone as an ideal treat for you! Here is what we think are the all-essential

ingredients for a birthday or Christmas hamper that your skin will love. There might be a few

surprises too...

Body Butter

Body butter is undoubtedly the first product that needs to be placed inside your beauty hamper.

Because our skin takes in everything we smear onto it and can end up drying out, there are not many

products better for your skin than a good dose of body butter. It forms a further barrier for your skin

to provide protection from all weather types; whether you’re in the sweltering sun or in freezing

cold conditions, your skin is kept with its own moisturising cocoon. The increased softness in your

skin is noticeable just a few hours after its first use, and this particular item in your hamper is bound

to go down a treat with any woman.

Dark Chocolate

This may come as a surprise to somebody receiving a beauty-themed hamper, but dark chocolate

has been out highlighted as one of the top 10 foods for healthy skin, which is brilliant news for all

you chocoholics out there! Brazil nuts are also particularly good for clear skin due to the fact they

contain minerals such as Selenium, deficiencies of which have been known to cause acne. So why

not mix the two and have luxury Brazils covered in dark chocolate? Pampering yourself has never

been tastier!

Hand and Body Lotion

No beauty hamper is complete without a sweet-smelling hand and body lotion. We love this one in

particular as it certainly smells as refreshed as it feels, and if you’re giving it away the lucky recipient

will remember exactly who bought it for them whenever they smell the aroma on their smooth

skin. The best lotions to go for are those that seal in the skin’s natural oils without leaving a greasy

residue, leaving your skin in perfect condition.

Peppermint Tea

The British are known for their serial tea drinking, but surprisingly, peppermint tea boasts a whole

host of great skin benefits. Pop it into a hamper for someone as a present; as well as enjoying a

flavour they might not normally buy for themselves, they’ll also find that cold peppermint teabags

are heavenly for tired, itchy or red eyes to soothe them.

Although a few of these suggestions may sound unusual , It won’t be long until you notice the

difference this hamper will make to how your skin looks and feels. If you give it away, your lucky

friend or family member will thank you considerably for such a thoughtful and effective gift. Luckily,

this may also mean that they could work even harder when it’s their turn to give you a present!

The team at yourhamper.com would like to say a big thank you to Charlotte for allowing us a little of

her blog space to call our own.

Thank you to the lovely team at 'Your Hamper' for writing this guest post.

They have some lovely products you should definitely check their website out.

BIG Haul and first MAC purchase!

Hello ma'lovelys, it is now August! (and I really mean this..) WOW July went by so quick.

Now this is not a collective haul, this was all solely brought on my shopping trip to Cardiff on Saturday. Disclaimer, before some of you go moaning: I thought I'd treat myself and spend some of my wages on shopping, before I start saving up.

The shopping trip consisted of my mum, my sister and I going in to nearly every single shop, eating delicious food and spending lots of money.

The funny thing was: I WAS PREPARED!
Woah, me.. prepared?! (im never prepared)
But yes, I had made a list, a huge list I might add! A list of all the things I wanted to buy and look at.

So first on the agenda was to go to Primark.

I had a lovely nose around, picking out loads of clothes to try on. However in the end I didn't buy that much.
The first thing I brought was not a clothes item, it is a beauty product. I have never brought anything beauty related from Primark before, so this is a first.

I picked up the Cocoa Brown 1 Hour tan. I had heard a lot about this tan, especially from my Irish (It's an Irish brand!) blogging friend  Emma! She had recommended this tan to me so many times, stating it was her favourite, that I had to pick it up when I heard Primark were stocking it.
I am yet to try this tan, but will be doing a full review when I have tried it.

The first clothing item I brought was this denim jacket. I had been wanting to get a denim jacket for absolutely ages, so I was really pleased when I saw one I liked.

Secondly I brought this gorgeous dress. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was a must. Its a plain black dress, but it has a cut out detail of tiny flowers around the waist.

We then popped into lush, as I had a couple of items on my list from there. A lovely member of staff helped me test the products and decide on which products to get.
I brought the Lush Tea Tree Toning Water and the No Drought shampoo. I will let you know what I think of them in a review post coming soon!

After stopping for numerous coffee breaks (in my case frappes), a few other shops and lunch, we headed to boots.

Again with my list clutched in one hand, I headed for the makeup section. I had a good browse around all the makeup counters and stands, searching for the best products and deals.

The first product I picked up was the Smashbox 'It's your prime' set. I had heard great reviews about the primers from Smashbox, so I thought I would give them a go. The set includes: a face primer, eyelid primer and a concealer primer.

I then brought the Maxfactor False Lash Effect - Fusion Mascara.
I had tried my sisters Maxfactor Clump Defy Mascara and really liked it, so thought I would give it a go. While I was there, the lovely lady at the counter showed me a range of different mascaras, and told me what each one was supposed to do.
I did not realize how many mascaras Maxfactor had! The lady explained that mascaras are what Maxfactor are known for.
We decided that I was going to get the Fusion Mascara because it is supposed to Lengthen and Volumize.

My next purchase is a really hyped up product, that I had been wanting for ages. It's the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat concealer. I originally picked it up in the shade 1.5, however I then spoke to the girl at the counter and she recommended me the shade 2 Luminous Ivory.

My last purchase from boots was from the brand Barry M. I accidentally and unintentionally ended up buying 3 nail polishes. I went in, knowing that I wanted to buy the Barry M Hi Shine Gel Effect Nail Polish in the shade Mango. However when I got there I saw it in the shade Blue Moon and fell in love. I really couldn't decide what colour to pick, im so indecisive. My mum then saw that Barry M had a deal on. "Free summer limited edition nail polish when you spend £6 or more on selected Barry M" - BARGAIN!
So I decided to buy both nail polishes and pick up a Summer limited edition nail polish in the shade Pink.

I will have reviews of all of those products on my blog soon.

Last but not least we popped into Debenhams and headed for the MAC counter. Ever since I first started wearing makeup, I had heard so many good things about MAC and it's always been that high-end brand I've wanted to try.

I said in the title of this post that I would show you my first MAC purchase, however I may have made more than just one purchase, hehe!

Firstly I brought the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation.
The lovely lady who served me called Kathryn matched up my skin colour to the foundation. We decided on a shade darker than my natural skin tone because I like to tan. So the shade that I got was NW20.

I also brought a pump to go with the foundation, because I find it easier to get the foundation out without having to tip it out onto my hand and probably end up having too much.

Kathryn explained that two full pumps should be enough to cover your whole face, however you can build it up if you want to.

The next product I brought was the MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder. I needed a new setting powder, and this does a really good job without it making the foundation looking too cakey.

I then brought the MAC GraphBlack Technakohl Eye Liner. While Kathryn was helping me I had noticed her eyes looked amazing, the liner looked so black. She explained that she was wearing this one and had been since 8 O'clock that morning and it was now around Quarter past 4. Kathryn applied this to my waterline and when I saw how great it look I just had to get it. So into my basket it went.

Finally, I got the one thing I had wanted to buy most. MAC eyeshadows! I explained I had been looking at the colours online but obviously they weren't going to look exactly the same in real life. So while I read out the list of colours I wanted to look at she got them out on the counter for me. I was able to help pick a few out when she couldn't see them and she was impressed that I knew the products. We picked out an array of eyeshadows to have a look at. The colours we picked out were: Nylon, Naked Lunch, Wedge, Vanilla, Cork, Brule, Woodwinked, Charcoal Brown, All that glitters, Omega, Grain and Shroom.
After looking through them all and lots of swatching, we decided on 5 colours. All that glitters, Woodwinked, Wedge, Brule and Nylon. However Nylon and Woodwinked were out of stock so I was only able to get the other 3 colours. I also brought a 15 pan MAC palette for the eyeshadows to go in. I did not buy the tray for the pallet as I've heard that you can get a few extra eyeshadows in without it.

The shade brule is almost a skin toned shadow and is great for an all over colour. All that glitters is a browny pink glittery shade, which looks great on the center of the lid. Finally Wedge, is a red toned brown which looks lovely in the crease to really define the eye.

I am so pleased with all my purchases, and I'm especially excited to try some make up looks with my mac eye shadows!

I hope you all enjoyed looking at the products and clothes in my haul, let me know what you think :)

Guest Post - Adam from A Boy in Womens Wear!

Hello readers of this lovely beauty filled blog. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to write a guest post for you all to enjoy, in fact the lovely Charlotte has a guest post over at my silly little thing I call a blog, you can find it here:
Boy in Womens Wear!
So basically I am taking over this blog for this one unique post written by me.......obviously.

So when I was given the opportunity to write a post I was stumped and to be honest a little bit scared. I mean this blog here is a well written blog about beauty and the products to use, something which over at my blog I never write about. My Posts are very personalized thoughts on topics and such, so my views on beauty are a little bit different. I suppose I should make one thing clear....... I am actually a Guy!.......I Know Shock horror right?!......and at my blog I gave myself the task to write about beauty and fashion from a males perspective.
Doing this has forced me to learn things about the way women approach beauty and fashion, a way I never actually thought I would understand. I have entered the world of female blogging that has opened my eyes. It has opened my eyes to things I never saw before, things that I never knew existed. I mean a year ago I had no idea what contouring was, now I can flick through magazines and spot well done contouring and sneer at badly done contouring. Before if you had asked me what primer was I probably would have said it was a character from "Transformers".

Now I reckon I can consider myself quite an open minded guy who appreciates the process women go through when applying their make up and the different styles they try out to bring out their best features. I have experimented these on myself ( I'm a modern man I am not afraid to unleash my feminine side even if I do look simply like a guy in a dress ) and now I feel part of the #BBloggers community. I have met some great Bloggers and learnt so much. My Life has turned upside down. A Year ago I would never have walked down the street and noticed the styles of make up on a women's face, Now I seem to check it out and make sure they have got the right skin tone and that their eye brows are well groomed and even if they have blended their foundation in properly without leaving a two toned face and neck. So all in all I have pretty much unleashed the women blogger within. A Women who thinks every woman should wear Red Lipstick.

So I guess what this guest post accumulates to is the notion that no matter who you are, what your background is, where you come from, if you spend enough time communicating with other #BBloggers and reading their blogs, regardless of your gender, YOU WILL become the woman you never thought existed!

Thanks for reading this rambling of a mad man, I promise you I am entirely sane(ish) and to all beauty bloggers out there keep doing what you are doing. If there is anything I have learnt from reading these types of blogs, it's that your opinions on beauty matter and whatever you believe helps you feel more comfortable and complete is correct.

Until next time, Hopefully I'll see you on my blog as you join me on my journey deeper into the world of #BBloggers.

@BinWWblog ( The Twitter account on the poster is wrong LOL )

Thank You to Adam for writing this wonderfully different post :)
You all should check out his blog!
